  1. I think the quake in Nepal is a devastating natural disaster. It in some ways, reminds me of hurricane Irene's affect on our community and hurricane Katrina's affect on the south east, mainly Louisiana.

  3. I think that it's really sad that so many people were negatively affected by this earthquake because based on the video that I watched it doesn't look like these people had a lot to begin with. I also think that we are very lucky to live in a place where the weather does't really effect us like it does in places like Nepal.

  5. I think that the reason that so many were killed in the earthquake is that they were not prepared for its coming as they do not have the same technology that we have in America. As for sleeping outside for a second night, it is a valid fear for more buildings to collapse.

  6. I think that the earthquake in Nepal was devastating, if I could fly there and help I defiantly would. I remember a few years ago when we were younger there was that huge storm in our town right before we came back to school from break. We ended up having a few extra days off so they could clean up. The storm knocked down a lot of the trees on the nature trail, it hailed really bad and the roads caved in. Our storm wasn't nearly strong enough to knock down houses. Imagine the one in Nepal and how big it must have been to destroy houses and buildings. I think its crazy.

  7. The earthquake in Nepal effected many people, Like MILLIONS of them. I feel really bad because some people are so devastated that if they have a little bit of shelter they won't go in it they are sleeping out in the pouring rain.

  8. The earthquake in Nepal was devastating to millions. About 3,700 have died. People are refusing to sleep in shelters. They are still in shock. They would rather sleep in the rain then be possibly crushed by the ruff above them.

  11. The earth quake in Nepal was devastating because it effected many people. It effected them because the earth quake destroyed about 15,000 homes. This reminds me of hurricane Katrina because it destroyed about the same amount of houses.

  13. In the article i learned that the earth quake that Napal just experienced was a 7.8 on a scale one to ten.that is a very high number for a earth quake!!! I know vermonter have experienced earth quakes but nothing so bad to kill your family or crumble your house in to millions of pieces. Thats why i am so thankful to not have to face what they face what they face!!!
