Hello Barbie, A Friend or Foe?

In 1959, Barbie was first introduced at the New York Toy Fair.  Fifty-five years later has she morphed into a child's best friend, a talking doll that takes you to an amazing imaginative world and provides you with all of life's answers?  Or, is she a substitute in a society too busy for real conversations and too absorbed in social media?
